Choose your course

A choice of courses of various levels of intensity is offered throughout the year in our Lyon school. You may choose the number of lessons and the type of module according to your needs, your aims and interests or the duration of your stay.

Our teaching method

The aim of our French courses is to allow each student to communicate, both orally and in writing, in various situations of everyday life, whilst travelling or in the setting of his/her profession.

For this, we give priority to teaching which puts emphasis on the pleasure of learning and which allows you to acquire all the necessary know-how, through language activities, games or projects, carried out in pairs, in small groups or individually, through practice.

The use of the most recently published books for the teaching of FLE and the constant use of authentic documents from the Internet, the written press and various audiovisual media, as well as numerous open windows on French culture allow for great variety and a great wealth of exchanges, reinforced even more by the multicultural make-up of the classes, and fast and motivating learning.

Our standard course is an excellent choice if you want to improve your language skills and have free time on your hands. Classes normally take place in the morning, which means that you can make the most of your time off in the afternoon to visit the city and take part in the activities, or outings that the school offers. This is perfect for putting your new language skills to the test!

The intensive course differs from the standard course because of its fast work pace and further investigation into subjects with a more communicative and relaxed approach with optional topics and conversation. The 5 additional lessons per week mainly focus on oral communication. A highly effective exercise based on immediate and hands-on practice which allows for long-lasting language learning. In BERLIN only For the 5th oral communication lesson, students can choose from one of the following topics: Business / Culture in Berlin / Hotel & Gastronomy.

Do you want to maximise your progress during your stay? Then choose the PREMIUM course! With 30 lessons per week, this programme is ideal for motivated students who want to dedicate themselves to studying. The 6th daily lesson is focused on writing skills and organised in a mini-group of a maximum of 7 participants. By choosing this course, you will significantly improve your language knowledge, both oral and written, in a short space of time.

This course type is suitable for students wishing to combine a group course with private lessons in order to fill their knowledge gaps or acquire a deeper knowledge of some difficult points by working individually with the teacher. Taking extra private lessons is an excellent way of intensifying oral communication exercises outside a group, which is perfect for shy or more demanding students.

Venez étudier le français ou l’allemand à ESL, revenez-en avec un certificat internationalement reconnu en poche! Chaque examen possède des exigences et des modalités précises : ESL vous propose des cours de préparation spécialisés pour que vous soyez parfaitement prêt le jour voulu.
Un atout certain de ESL est de pouvoir proposer de nombreuses formules d’examens différents et une fréquence de passation inégalée : de 3 fois par année pour le DELF/DALF, 5 fois pour le TestDaF, à une fois par mois pour le TCF, le Goethe Zertifikat ou le TELC Deutsch. Cela vous offre une flexibilité maximale pour prévoir le passage de l’examen de votre choix au moment qui vous convient le mieux !
Ces diplômes sont délivrés par les institutions officielles ; ils valident votre niveau linguistique de manière très précise conformément aux normes du CECRL et sont reconnus dans le monde entier.

This course type allows students who wish to prepare for a specific exam to focus on the specific content of the chosen exam during the last daily lesson. One important asset of this course is that it can be booked at any time of the year, independently of exam session dates. The maximum duration is 6 weeks, which allows students to make the most of the course without repeating the same topics and doing the same exercises.

Ideal for students wishing to prepare for an exam in a very intensive manner, this programme offers 2 daily preparation lessons to study the specific content of the chosen exam. However, the course can only be booked according to the official exam session dates, that is 1 to 4 weeks maximum prior to the exam date.

An appropriate learning level for everyone

Following a language level evaluation, each student is placed in a group corresponding to his/her level.

Our grid of levels is that proposed by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) which is the standard in Europe for the teaching of languages.

Numerous oral and written activities allow the teachers to evaluate progress continually and to propose individual solutions to each student in order to optimise his/her learning.

ESL course certificate

A la fin de votre séjour, une attestation de cours, précisant le type de programme suivi et le niveau atteint vous sera remise.

D’autre part, vous pouvez passer un examen reconnu tout au long de l'année dans nos différentes écoles.

Vous pouvez également passer l'examen DELF ou DALF dans le centre régional de passation..
