French Courses at ESL Nice in France

A specialist in the teaching of French courses, our school is among the most reputed of the Côte d’Azur. More than 2500 students representing almost 40 nationalities choose it each year in order to learn French in France.

Our teaching method

With the aim of favouring fast and easy progress and in order to develop the communication skills of students, our methodology is based on an approach which gives priority to real life scenarios by relying on numerous pedagogical supports and authentic documents.

The teachers, all native French speakers and university degree holders, provide motivating teaching, which constantly stimulates the desire to learn and to express oneself.

Personalised support is given to each student throughout his/her stay and a teacher specialised in the most recent technologies offers help in the comptuer room in order to optimise autonomous work.

For all levels, the objectives of the general French classes are defined in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages). A regular evaluation of acquired knowledge allows for an attentive follow-up of personal progress.

Courses adapted to each level

Our school offers courses adapted to each language level, from beginner to advanced, throughout the year. Course entry is possible each Monday for all levels, except for complete beginners and students of level C2 (entry each first Monday of the month, from January to November).

Standard course (General French)

  • Levels: beginner to advanced
  • Course duration: 2 - 48 weeks
  • Lessons: 20 of 45 minutes
  • Students/class: max. 12 people

Intensive course (standard course + 10 mini-group lessons)

  • Levels: beginner to advanced
  • Course duration: 2 - 48 weeks
  • Lessons: 30 of 45 minutes
  • Students/class: max. 12 people for the standard course, max 8 people for the 10 additional lessons

In addition to the standard course, the 10 additional mini-group lessons allow you to more particularly reinforce your speaking skills and open a wide window on French culture and civilisation. Other objectives may also be defined according to the group.

DELF course (A1/A2/B1/B2)

The DELF preparation course is destined for students who wish to validate their stay by obtaining an internationally recognised diploma. The C1 and C2 levels (DALF) may only be prepared in one-to-one classes.

Certificates et diplomas

At the end of the course, each student receives a certificate from the school specifying the language level acquired. Our school is a testing centre of the TCF and DFP exams of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as for the TCF (Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques). The DELF exams are organised by the regional testing centre in Cannes.
