Our French school ESL Montreux in Switzerland

Our language school in Montreux is situated on the town's main street, on the shores of Lake Geneva. It offers a truly idyllic location in which to learn French. The beautiful promenade along the quays, shaded by exotic trees, is one of the most iconic places in French-speaking Switzerland.

In the centre, you will find 10 bright and comfortable classrooms, a cafeteria, a resource centre and a computer room with free internet access. You can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the Alps from the school. In nice weather - which the local microclimate encourages - the centre's open air terraces serve as a setting for barbecues of raclette or fondue evenings.

The location is well served by public transport, with Montreux train station and various bus stops less than 5 minutes’ walk away.

Outside of class time, the numerous public terraces lining the lake and the shops nearby invite you to immerse yourself in local life and to share pleasant moments with the other students and locals. The relatively modest size of ESL Montreux really encourages conviviality and personal attention for each student.

"My stay at ESL was fantastic! The course was good and the teachers were motivating and professional. Especially the DELF preparation course I took was very useful. Through participating practicing the different parts of the DELF exam and learning strategy “how to make them” prepared me well for my DELF exam. Living in a student’s apartment gave me the independency I was looking for and I had a great time with my roommates from other countries."
