Preparation to French exams

Taking a course in Montreux or Lyon also offers the possibility to obtain an internationally recognised certificate, and this regardless of the duration of your stay.
Issued by the CIEP (Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques) or the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the DELF/DALF, the TCF and the TEF attest to your French level in accordance with the CEFR grids.
Special preparation courses for these exams are available throughout the year. Of a duration of one to 4 weeks (for the TCF) or of one to 8 weeks (DELF B1 and B2, DALF C1), they are based on a standard course to which a fifth lesson is added, assigned to the specific preparation of the chosen exam, each day.


DELF/DALF - DIPLÔME D'ETUDES EN LANGUE FRANÇAISE

Standard course + 5 DELF lessons
  • Levels: B1, B2, C1
  • Modules of 1 to 8 weeks
  • 20 standard lessons plus 5 DELF lessons per week
  • Exam dates : 3 times per year

By choosing the DELF preparation option, the student will have the opportunity to integrate all strategies to be used in order to pass the DELF or the DALF, the certification of reference for French as a foreign language.

TCF - TEST DE CONNAISSANCE DU FRANÇAIS

Standard course & 5 TCF lessons
  • Levels: Elementary to advanced
  • Modules of 1 to 4 weeks
  • 20 standard lessons plus 5 TCF lessons per week
  • Exam dates: Once per month (every last Thursday)

The TCF is a barometer-type exam which situates the candidate on the European scale of levels (CEFR). It takes place once a month in our schools in Lyon and Montreux and is ideal for students who wish to obtain a recognised certificate, even during a short duration stay.

e-TEF

The e-TEF, the electronic version of the TEF of the very reputed Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, offers great flexibility and allows each student enrolled in an ESL course to certify his/her level of French in an official and reliable way. Our school in Montreux is a testing centre for the e-TEF and proposes 3 exam sessions per month for which it is possible to present yourself without a specific previous preparation.
