For students wishing to practise specific sports, such as mountain biking, horse riding or squash, we also offer an optional activity programme. Take advantage of the chance to discover new sports.
For the more adventurous, we offer a rich cocktail of optional “adventure” activities encompassing altitude, speed, sporting performance and water sports. All these activities are supervised by professionals.
“Horse riding” package (summer & autumn)
Designed for students who wish to go horse riding during their stay at Leysin, this package offers them the chance to ride three hours a week. The extremely intensive lessons take place at the Leysin horse riding school. This package is aimed at experienced riders.
“Ski or snowboard” package (spring):
Leysin has become one of the most-visited ski/snowboard resorts in the Swiss Alps. For those wishing to discover this small corner of white paradise, taking up the ski/snowboard package allows you to combine the language courses with three afternoons of skiing or snowboarding, supervised by qualified instructors. This package is only available to students who have ski or snowboard experience.

For tennis fans, we are offering a package which includes 3 afternoons of tennis lessons, each lasting 3 hours and taught by professional instructors. After assessing participants’ levels, various theoretical and practical aspects will be taught, both for singles and doubles.

In order to make every stay a successful one, we offer a rich and varied activity programme every day, as well as excursions to the most popular tourist attractions of the regions where we have our centres. You won’t forget your stay with ESL in a hurry!
Included activities & excursions
Our standard activity programme takes place every day and is fully included in the cost of the stay. Extremely varied, it enables students to take part in a wide range of sports and other activities. All these activities are organised, supervised and run by the ESL team for each course centre.
Evening entertainment
Whether it’s a film, barbecue or disco evening, the ESL entertainment team pulls out all the stops so that you, and the other ESL students, enjoy some unforgettable moments. These expertly-organised evenings offer another chance to practise the language being studied in a relaxed atmosphere.
